The San Francisco mint did reopen in 1965 and they struck 220 million cents that year. They also did 39 million nickels, 47 million dimes, 62 million quarters, and 470,000 half dollars. None of them with mintmarks.

There were no mintmarks used on any denomination from 1965-67, 1968 was the restart of mintmark usage on business strikes and the first official usage on proofs(not counting the few very rare branch mint proofs from the 1800s). Prior to 1968, the last S-mintmark cent was 1955.

I am currently in the process of taking better photos of this coin so the image in question can be better observed or looked at and by the way I do thank you guys for all of your input and expert opions a new comer like me sure can use the input thank you
