My 3 favorite as far as aesthetics: - Mercury dime- Liberty Standing quarter- Walking Libery Half My other favorites are the Large Cents. I had a few that I had lying around from years ago and I started to pick them up again. I think from all of the varieties that you can have from a single year due to the minting process, the detailed N and R grading systems and some other factors this is a series that you really need to study and it never gets boring. Almost every coin is a challenge to categorize, and fun (challenging to me because I'm learning it).

If were allowed to choose Franklins (im with muddler on the proofs) thats my vote... Otherwise, I really love Seated Liberty quarters. The seated design is great, but for whatever reason, the image appeals to me most on the quarter. Its something about how well the design fits in the space and takes up the quarter, as opposed to the half. Again, I cant really explain it clearly, I just think it looks best on the quarter.

I really like the capped bust half. I prefer Peace dollars to Morgans for second and third for me would be Mercs. I am distinctly not a fan of dead guys in profile.

I've always thought the $4 Stellas--both the flowing and coiled hair varieties--are the most beautiful coins.

I think the Walking half dollars are the most beautiful coins ever minted. For some reason I don't have a lot of them. I am very much into buying early early copper and draped bust and capped but half dollars. It's the history that draws me to buy these rather than the walkers.
