GOLD: Dionysos, Coin #2, Corinth AR Stater
SILVER: augustus1, Maroneia, Thrace Drachm
BRONZE: maridvnvm, Coin #2, Thessaly, Larissa, Silver Drachm
There were some others that really could have easily been in the top three, Martin's coin #1, and Dionysos' coin #1, Doug's coin #2, and steve's coin #1. All fine coins for sure.

Dang this one went quick. I was out of town for the weekend and didn't get to participate. Would have probably entered this one: Severus II (A.D. 306-307) AE Follis AE1, A.D. 306-307, Aquileia, 28mm, 7.36g, 180°, RIC VI 80b; rare. Obv: IMP C SEVERVS PF AVG. Laureate head right. Rev: VIRTVS AVGG ET CAESS NN. Severus riding horse right, spearing barbarian; second barbarian lying on ground. and this one: Constantius II (A.D. 337-361) Bronze Follis AE2, A.D. 350-355, Antioch, 24.2mm, 5.83g, 165°, RIC VIII 132. Obv: D N CONSTANTIVS P F AVG. Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev: FEL TEMP REPARATIO. Soldier spearing fallen horseman; Î" in left field, ANZ in ex.

Gold => Batman's (Dionysos') #1 coin (it's so bloody cool, plus it's a big fat Tet!!) Silver => dougsmit's coin #2 => hmmm, this coin is a bit iffy (sometimes I wish that I knew a bit more about ancient coins and a bit more about the slippery dougsmit => this coin seems a bit too awesome!!) Bronze => Doucet and his blue sea-monster is definitely an eye-catcher!! (well played with the special effects!!) ... awesome coins everyone!!

'Slippery?' I expected flack on this coin for being medieval rather than ancient and not at all Greek or Roman but the coin is common, cheap and not awesome at all. This is an interesting group. If you post a really rare coin or a best known specimen it gets no votes but common items in good condition do well. That strikes me as normal but in discussions we regularly see questions as to whether a coin is rare as if it makes a difference. Mine or others', I have a poor record predicting which of the two entry coins will beat its collection-mate. In this case, I thought the Parthian would be the lesser of my evils but the common one I expected would be ignored got a couple votes. That is what makes the voting part of this interesting.

Half of the SMACKDOWN contestants seem to be voting primarily on eye-appeal, probably because we don't know a tenth of the history that you know about each of the coins being posted (it's a bit of a curse being as well informed and as well-written as yourself) ... Oh, and the slippery comment was merely another poorly received sarcastic joke of mine (my bad) ... you rock!!
