Hello, Please give me your opinions insofar as the grade and what the retail price of this coin should be using ebay and Proxy-bid, for example, as comparative example sites of completed listings. I used a scanner to produce the attached images so the pin wheel luster of this coin is not so apparent. If the grade of this coin is determined to exceed a MS 60, for example, I will take some photos of the coin and re-post them using something other than a scanner to illustrate the patina and luster. I picked this coin up at a yard sale today for $ 101. Thanks, mdpmedia

Tough to tell from scans but I would say this is at least AU-55

I am going to go with AU-58. It might be the scans but the face appears a bit darker and less lustrous than other parts of the coin like the fields. Fantastic buy for just $101!

Nice looking piece. AU53 maybe higher. But, scans don't help when grading. Pics would be better.

Looks to be AU maybe AU58, Hard to see the details on the reverse side. Great looking Morgan dollar a fine addition to any collection.

I think the reverse is AU58 minimum but the obverse seems to drag this down as there appears to be several distracting contact marks on the chin, cheek and eyebrow. I would guess this nets out at AU50/AU53 maybe.

I agree with AU55, the reverse looks nice but I think the obverse marks hold it back.

coin grading is tough, and unfair.....we all see the coin grading schemes that present what a coin should be like reguardless of the year and mint mark... But in the hands of grading experts, TPG's....they evaluate the coin by there experience of the coins that come to them as a whole.... \ first and foremost is the OBV looks, it out weights the Reverse condition....my meaning is if the reverse should be perfect, and the OBV have dings, the REV would carry little weigth in its over all grade.... However, when one looks at an AU coin, there is significant wear or dings that can or can not get away with a favorable grading.... your coin falls into this catagory, its the OBV that has the dings, and being not UNC in its OBV condition, the dings degrade it, yet, in its AU overall condition the REV is the coins strength , yet the OBV is the coins money factor....for $100 you can't loose.....G

It looks too white, as in cleaned, but it may be the scanner.
