I'm going to have to invest in a new BS-Meter. Mine blew a gasket after I plugged in Rum_N_Cola's posts. What a load of crap ...

I enjoin you all to consider the concept of "useful content" in your choice of what to post.

I guess it all depends on your internet experience, but CCF is a bunch of honest, upfront people--we welcome questions without penalty--I've been around long enough to know that's true.

FENTON: I have admitted it was a load of crap. I messed up. Nothing more that I can say that I havent already said. I am not perfect like you, I am a human and used bad judgement. To everyone, I am sorry, honestly sorry.

I offer what is hopefully a positive reply recognizing the ...uhhmmm .. confusion ... created by the OP.
I politely suggest that rum_n_cola has come clean and admitted the error of his/her ways ... admission of guilt certainly cleans up the mystery of the multiple coins ... and as always the CCF experts were on the ball to savvy out the issue and arrive at a reasonable conclusion.
I ask all of you to consider a second chance for the OP ... I note he/she is not yet banned ... and I would be willing to extend an opportunity for this member to demonstrate that they can be honest and contribute to the forum in a positive way.
Mind you with a short leash going forward ... and any additional hanky-packy leads to a forum 'vacation'.
Honestly ... I was just as disappointed as many of you for the deceit of this thread ... but the OP admits guilt and hopefully will live their words and move on to contribute honestly to the family.
My views ... FWIW

Rum I'll respect you if you come clean and be honest. Just admit those are all your auctions and you posted on here using two ID's. Very obvious they came from the same person - identical writing style.

FENTON: The seller on ebay which can be found at this link http://www.ebay.com/itm/17090423386....m1423.l2649 is the person that has the collection of coins. I took photos of her coins, before I was to purchase and listed them here to get experts advice so I knew what to pay. In the process one of the coins were sold (not on ebay, privately to the other ebay member) This ebay member listed the 1858 penny, now using his own photo cause the coin is now in his possession. It was a coincidence that he too was purchasing the coin to resell on ebay, as was the timing of his listing. This person is not me, nor is Rum_N_Cola. I have purchased coins from he/she in the past and liked the name so I used when I created this account a long time ago. I hope this clears things up for you sir.

So one question that remains, is, who cracked this coin from its slab? It was auctioned, slabbed, on Heritage July 15, and listed on ebay, raw, by chamblee56 on Sept 1, but it's by no means proven that he cracked it or knowingly misrepresented it. When did rum's "lady" list it on ebay? Did she list it raw, as all her currently-listed coins seem to be?

Quote: what is a fair price for the 1858 ? When it last sold on July 15, $862.50 was deemed the value. Any guesses what the raw coin (without condition details) will go for? I suspect the final rally will break $950.

That's not bad but you would think that it would go for big money since only 300 were struck. Heck a 77 goes for more than that. Maybe because that coin had issues.

Fenton, I will address your valid concern with a detail you may be unaware of: we know the physical location of all who post here, as well as that of ebay sellers. The coin sales market is not...disconnected, and I urge you to consider this, especially when evaluating how we choose to react.
