Look below the date. Small but obvious. The reverse is normal so nothing hit it or any PMD there.

Yeah..that is part of the bust...could be over polishing or a mild Grease Filled Die imo

Yeah Rob....the bump is a normal part of the design....but the rest of the jacket that is missing is what you should have keyed in on

I save all these 1970d pennies mainly for the copper but I just like the looks for some reason unknown.

After blowing it up on the computer I can see it's the jacket. Still catches your eye!
