Found a 2012 Two Loon's Dollar on the shelf of a Shoppers Drug Mart PO display case in Port Elgin.

There is also a Robert Lismer $20 Group of 7 in Owen Sound on the shelf......

Happy Hunting

Looking for the 2010 Lynx Specimen set in Toronto/GTA area post offices.

I want to buy new from P.O. because I hate buying second hand. I want one with a crisp box and display case.

If you happen to see one, let me know!

I'm forunate in this case to travel Northern Ontario, but sadly I do mostly CRH rather than NCLT hunting. Is there any key coins to look out for that would be a good find? I'm thinking of maybe popping in these remote PO's. The only stuff I've bought so far is 20 for 20 coins...would appreciate any insight to this.

Just bought two silver lucky loonies at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Hamilton for 15% off the regular price.
I don't know why they were discounted. Still regular price on CP site.

I drive a lot for work and stop at most cp locations I stumble across. I go from one end of the GTA to the other. so far, I've only found one location that I've bought coins from at a discounted price. I got so excited, I bought a whole bunch of stuff. This was months ago, maybe july or so. It was a gas station 7/11 (if my memory serves me correct) in Ajax just west of the fire station. Corner of Rossland and harwood I think. Most of the stuff they had on sale was 2011 and earlier. birthday, wedding, tooth fairy, congratulation, christmas, and uncirculated sets, Sasquatch large quarters and the like. I've never found a Canada post location with sales but they do sometimes have items you can't find anywhere else. They also sometimes have several "limit of one" items with the limit being the number they happen to have available at that location. Find a chatty clerk at one of these locations and if they also collect coins, they can be a HUGE help in tracking down coins. And for the same price as the mint without the shipping charges. If you are picky about the number on the coa, you can pick the one you want. I've got a few coast guard coins (with the piece of steel) that were numbered in the 30s this way.

Please, if you find a deal....
Buy all you want, then pass on the info. It would be nice if some people could even list items they got discounted that they want to sell. I'd be happy to split the difference , allowing me a better deal than from flippers, (or non-discounted price) while still giving some profit to the seller. The way I see it, if it's cheaper than from the release price from RCM, it's not being a flipper.

Thanks for the good post, Redzapsid!
I've never come across coin sales at gas stations. Will be more watchful, now.
Here, in the Hamilton area, most PO's are in drug stores. Mostly SDM, some Rexall. I found a PO in a convenience store where I was able to buy a whole roll of $1 Grey Cup coins. (Supposedly limit of five.)

Jerry B, have you been to imperial coins and collectables? If so, what are your thoughts about prices there?
