You guys ready, okay here goes with todays finds.
Two sterling silver 2006 Lunar series from the RCM for $40.00 each,
Three RCM gift sets with 2010 double coloured poppy 25 cent (room for the other two coins). $4.97 each,
One Oh Canada 2007 gift set with red maple leaf just under $10.00,
There were others 25 cent gift sets I left ranging from 2007 to 2010 all marked down to just under $10.00. Santa, balloons, some wedding thing......no birds. All the quarters were normal size.
fun

I live in New Brunswick,east coast of Canada. I'd love to find the time to start touring around the smaller communities, odds are there are more treasures out there. I don't know anything about the Lunar Series. Should I buy the rest of them? I left two more 2006 dogs on the shelf.

@Solidifier:

What exactly goes for 50% off, the Snowflake only or both of them:
The set and snowflake?

Not really clear from the post...

If it for you - sure to buy.
For resell - do not think, that someone will be interested in them.

Added:
Sorry, my mistake.
first time I read "1812-2012 Silver Set", while you speak about Silver Dollar only.

I will take the crystal snow flake. It is not worth at issue. But 50% off is a deal.
You also can display it in your winter and holiday theme collection this X-mas.

50% is pretty nice on both, I'd be stuck. THe cheapest I've seen the snow flakes go for was $90.00. At 50% I'd be tempted.
cheers

I'm new to post office hunting and based on my beginners luck I'm kind of hooked. I'm going touring around over the next couple of days to see what's avilable in the rural post offices. I'd be grateful for any advice on what to look for. I'm aware of the following so far: Baby sets and wedding sets from 2007 and 2008, silver is best. And any large bird quarters pre 2010. Any other suggestions? Beiing out here in New Brunswick I'm pretty sure I will not be hunting in anyones back yard.
thanks

@Liverpool:

When you will buy this stuff, will you be happy, that you are the owner of the items, that no one wanted them?
Or do you like them, so you will kepe'em in the collection?

The nice thing, is probably to resell them, yeah, good surprise, but they will not make the seller reacher.

Anyway, I wish you good luck in your hunt, I believe that the effort should be appreciated!

Thanks for the thoughts Silveroid.
Update: I've been to every post office outlet in the city and it looks like my luck has run out. I'll let you know if I find anything in the future.
cheers

No, Liverpool, this is no "luck ran out"

It just you wanted to find specific items, that very hard to find, while previously you hunted just for "something"
You can try other region, or just wait, some current items might be on sale in the future.

Post-Office-Hunting:-Post-Your-Discount-Finds-:d

Shoppers Drug Marts are hidden gems.

The odd thing is I snoop post offices ALL THE TIME all over the Toronto area and never find anything. The ironic thing is I found it at the post office closest to my home that I never bothered asking if they had stock. They said they brought out all their old stock last month and cleared it out to a single person :'(
