When I'll get the set, I will post the pictures. But interesting case with the set: I ordered one from the mint, and believe that it will be OK. But when I entered the CP office (week ago) I was offered to order some new coins, and I agreed, so they ordered "Go7" and the "5 penny set" (I thought, will be nice to order another one). The guy told me, that he will contact me, when both items will arrive. I double checked that no problem for them to order those coins. So, I received a call, and they told me, that Go7 available and waits for me, but the set....due to high demand was impossible to order. May be it is true...but hard to believe. Anyway, will wait for it from the RCM.

taro-chan, amazing photos
when you put the coins together, the 5oz looks like 1 oz coin, while 1/2oz looks like a real penny (or is this a real penny from the proof annual set?)
Respect!!

Please advice, what do you think:
I am in doubt about 5oz penny. The price is high, so I can't "just to buy it" And it's numismatic value....I am not sure. Looks like hyper-oversized penny to me.
And this money could be spend on other coins that will come...another anniversary Maple Leaf...etc.
But may be - still worth to buy this coin?

@taro-chan, Should I leave the same comment that "fkl118" did on the RFD form? Sure why not, it was kinda funny...
Nice! You've got 7 cents worth of coins there! ;)

bmxboy, thank you Quote: All depends on what you like tho I do not like 5oz coins, and I spent a lot previous month. Well, will not follow other people desire, and will stay with 5 Penny set and 1/2oz as a tribute. and the five hundred...will spend later on some 3 1oz new coins.

Quote: Nice! You've got 7 cents worth of coins there! ;) It's actually 8c. The 3rd 1/2 is hidden by the wool. I was always told it was late October for the 5 coin set. It's going to be a long wait.

Someone on ebay is saying they have the 5 coin set in hand ready to ship. Could it be true?

I am pretty sure I am in the first batch who ordered the set (I did it one day before MC release and let everybody know it is 3sets/household here). Unless the Mint ship the set out randomly, I guess I should get my order faster? Unfortunately, I have not yet. I do hope I can get the sets ASAP.

I am pretty sure the Mint has it's own order when it come to shipping. I order all my "farewell to penny" coins on the first few hours the MC page came alive, and my order were not shipped yet. In fact, their status just changed from "new order" to "processing" last night.
