The 2 times I've ordered from CP, I ended up cancelling them. I thought CP have the coins when they put it up for sale. I guess not...

CandaPost shipped both my orders: - one I placed over the phone on Oct02 (received Oct15) - one I placed online on Oct04 (shipped Oct22) The second order I placed was from the second batch of coins they received from the RCM. I called them up several times to check the order status. The first batch sold out pretty quickly, and then it took a while for them to get their second batch of coins from the RCM. But now they won't get anymore I was told. The coin has also been removed from their website. The bottom line is that if your order hasn't shipped yet, you won't be getting anything. Feel free to call them though to make sure. On a different note - is it just me or has the interest in the 5oz Farewell coin waned? Only 8 coins were sold on ebay over the last 7 days, and there are only 13 listings right now.

until the RCM website shows a coin to be sold out, its hard for sellers on ebay to set real prices if there are a chance it might become avaiable again at issue price. jm has raised price to 650.00 and gate west has very few left, its kinda of a cool looking coin.

the mintage is 1500 for the 5 oz. RCM is awaiting stock for a while now. I guess these coins are promised to CP and RCM is just trying to catch up with delivery to CP?

What is everyone's opinion on the future of the 5oz coin? Will it appreciate in value? The huge premium over spot certainly speaks against it... Time will tell I guess.

@Dcadon: I sell as well so thanks to the RCM, I never had to purchase cardboard boxes for shipping :) @omxfl: My 2 disappearing cents' worth is that the 5 oz will enjoy continued demand due to its topic, size, finish, and limited mintage. I feel that the price will cap at around 600-700 though irregardless of how long it's held, as that seems to be a relatively affordable price for the general public. One of the reason why the 1kg silver coins, each more magnificent than the next, is capped well under $2500 each even though mintages for some is under 250 is that it's just not affordable enough.

It is a beautiful coin. I cancelled my second 5 oz coin with CP, and spent that money on 2009 Moon Mask Silver coin plus other coins. I will keep my first one for a long time. And it is really my first 5 oz coin too.
