to me, there is only 1 RCM box can consider as fancy and impressive. It is the Chinese Lotus Series coin box. people sale the box itself for $200 on ebay. |

Looks to be the same box as the SML fractional set (with different insert). Is that delayed? Also, it looks the same box as the 2010 (Voyageur) and 2011 (1911 dollar) sets. I got the first Go7 releases with the box fairly soon after announcement. Crappy box in my opinion. It should have been more rectangular with less wasted space. |

Not the same box as the SML. The 2012 SML is a larger version of the regular maroon clamshell. The 5-penny is wooden. Too bad because the SML deserved a nicer box IMO. I don't believe that the SML set is delayed; received mine a couple of weeks ago. The 5 penny box looks similar to the 2011 sp. ed. proof set and the 2003 fractional hologram set (probably other sets too). The 2010 Voyageur was closer to a square with two rows of coins. But, that's not to say that the mint has 5000 of them laying around. I can't imagine that the coins themselves are the delay since there is nothing special about them (just normal silver issues) but I also can't fathom how the mint could fail to source a wooden box. just received email from canadian coin and currency about the penny set there is production issues at RCM regarding this set will ship in near end of november. wow |

That may be the case but in RFD, there's someone that manage to get the coin in Edmonton today. So RCM has sent some out. Now just curious how many did they sent out and to which dealers.. lol.. |

I hardly call 3 hrs a long time. You need to be up at 6:00 am PST to get the deal. Incorrect. I had my order confirmation from them at Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 11:38 PM. And I hesitated to place that order during all day. |

As Lostwords said, a person from Edmonton posted on that red forum that he got a 5 penny set and 4 Dinos for issue price at a PO today. Just walked right in and there they were. To the Batmobile! I need to get to every post office in the city before they close. CYA.   Oh,I forgot...the true POs are already closed for the weekend. Setting alarm for Monday morning. |

CC-Ottawa.. you have to find a PO that is not buying the coin from CP. LoL. Don't know if that makes any sense. I thought all PO have to get their stuffs from CP but then again, none of us work at PO.
