Aahh, temptation got the better of me, I ended up opening my gift about 10 minutes ago lol! Thank you so much to the forum member who set me the Pakistan currency set and the great letter, I'm so pleased with my gifts  . I would be incredibly grateful if the forum member who sent me this set could email me their address as I would love to send them a letter and maybe a small gift to say thank you. (I do have an idea as to who it is however I'm not 100% certain though.) I took some pictures to show you guys:    |

Speaking for all of the color-blind members: DISAPPROVE!  Could you do an asterisk * ? Bright Orange? ANYTHING but green! Those of us who are red/green blind will pick up on the yellow. Those of us who are blue/yellow blind will pick up on the red. Those of us who are totally color blind will see something bright. |

I just checked my mail and I can now join the Gotchas. Since will power is not one of my qualities I opened it immediately. My first comment was WOW, my favorite color, SILVER. If there was ANY green in the original list it escaped me.
For color-blind people, life is a series of compromises and coping mechanisms.
We do not mind.
But, we DO appreciate any attempt to accommodate our special need.

I just LOVE the letter from Pakistan.
Even more so than the colorful currency and shiny coins.
Your Pakistani Santa's Helper has the gift: just ... a special gift.

Yeah, I love the creative personal touch of the Pakistani stationery!
I just picked up my gift today and it should be ready to ship by Monday. Tragically I don't think I'm as artsy and creative as Coinage123's secret Santa but I hope the gift itself makes up for it!

I received my package yesterday from a very generous Secret Santa. Unfortunately the kids wouldn't let me wait until Christmas to open it so I caved (pretty easily) and opened it. I tried to take pictures but my 4 year old phone is being temperamental about uploading them to my computer. Apparently my Santa had done his research on me. Had 4 of my favorite coin types and 7 very cool looking Copper bullion rounds. And not to mention State Quarters from Kentucky (my home for the first 24 years of my life) and Montana (my home for the last 6 months). Its great to see so many people participating. And a very big thanks to Coinaholic for a great gift and to RGGoodie for putting this all together. My gift should be going out in the mail on Tuesday. Have to get a day off from work and get down to the Coin shop and look for something unique. |
