That's bad.
Can be case be replaced to some other case? (in order to give the coin as a present), or there is external package too?

So now it is clear about the RCM delays - they ran out of the generic standard cases...

I don't know about you guys...but I am Asian...and if I give this to my mother...she will SCREAM at me...cuz snake to her is very bad...she's very superstitious...and I am not sure if any other Asians elders you know or in this forum feel the same as her. I personally don't like snakes...so I am not going to buy this...plus I didn't have any of the previous year animal coins.

That's the first I've heard of it. I brought 2 snakes and plan to give one out as a gift to someone that born in the year of snake.

I am Asian too as well. I always think it's appropriate to give someone presents with their zodiac signs. My parents never told me anything otherwise growing up.

Same here. Never heard Snake is bad in Asian-Chinese culture.

I don't think RCM is dumb to production something that is bad in one's culture. Also in this case, according to some members,RCM makes this coin based on the order of a company from Singapore. Huge Chinese Community there.

Yesterday received from RCM 2 coins together:
"$20 Year of the Snake" and "$15 Year of the Snake Scalloped coin"

The second looks just great - amazing use of the coin space (common for this series), too bad I didn't get the subscription - have current 4 coins separated...

And the "$20 Year of the Snake" - well, it is nice to have it with "$20 for $20" or to give it as a present but in other presentation case.

Interesting fact:
According to the COA, the mintage is 128888, which is very high, but the COA is serialized.
Is there some other coins with high mintage having COA with serial number?

sure, dragon 1/2 oz

Snake is not popular but neither is it scary. It used to represent rationality and intelligence.

Only ox, tiger, dragon, horse have "direct" positive meaning in Chinese, but I am sure the rest (8/12) of people are happy with their zodiac signs too

Not just low, but "very limited mintage":

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-CANADA-...em25788e4b73

Need to say, that seller put everything in the description, and the actual mintage too. Actually good description.

But why to use "very limited mintage" ?

I grabbed a few asian version of this coin and I like it more than the normal RCM release. At least, the coin doesn't look soooo small in the case!

For yourself, would suggest to buy the Lotus shaped snake coin (almost 1oz).

I have both coins - and the Lotus is the best!
Bought Dragon for myself...and then decided to collect them all.
