Hi all, I believe this to be a halfpenny (13 mm diam) from the London mint. I have no idea who the king is. Can anyone help identify? A class and catalog reference would be superb. Thank you.

All I can suggest is Henry VII. All I have is an old Seaby's catalog and under ref. #1640 half penny (as you suggested) The description is "Much smaller portrait; mm. pheon. Don't ask me what that means.

Oops, a search reveals that my Seaby's is well out of date so you might want to try about Ref SE2246-2250.

Portraits of the previous King Edwards and Henrys seem to be of the larger variety (like ref #1643) but the #1640 is the only one I could find with a smaller ref. But I'm no expert. Hope this helps and as I said my ref book is 35 years out of date.
