henryjamesbuttons Valued Member United States 81 Posts	Posted 11/25/2012 1:31 pm As you can tell by my icon this is one of my favorites. I dont feel confident grading it without some discussion. I see no circulation wear. It looks like a nicely struck coin. The only problem I think are those bag marks. Luckily they are not in terrible places though the one across the Libertys neck is a bit of an eye catcher. I've seen them in worse places before on this coin. These are hard to locate without bag marks. I like the mild toning and it hasnt been cleaned. Now, having said this, is it an MS 62? 63? Probably. Is it an MS 64? 65? I dont know, but I'm thinking its not. Report this Post to the Staff
Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 11/25/2012 7:37 pm That is a lovely coin and yeah, it's too bad about the bag marks. I think I see a couple of tiny grease spots, too. However, I don't see any wear on it. My guess -- and really it is a guess -- would be MS62. It really is an interesting coin. Might have to get one of those. Report this Post to the Staff

In hand I'm not seeing any real wear but they all have what appears to be strike weakness where the ribbon crosses the eagle on the reverse. The other 2 coins have similar bag marks & also a slight haze in some areas. Report this Post to the Staff

I am going with MS63 ... nice coin and a lovely example of a well-preserved low mintage calssic silver commemorative. Hoping to see more of these from you in the future.
