Quote: What is on the walker? Kelly . . I have no idea. Probably just crud from roughly 40 years of circulation until I put her in an old blue Whitman folder in the late 50s or early 60s. Scanned it when I broke them out and put the semi keys in flips. A few more worse examples will be forthcoming.

The Oregon Trail takes my breath away! I was thinking it may be my favorite design until I saw some of the others posted. I'll say definitely in my top 5.

Wow ... I go away to work for 13 hours and come back to many lovely circulated coins ... well done to all who have contributed today. I have three classic silver commemorative to contribute to VG08 day ... so without further babble ... 1915-S Panama-Pacific Exposition Half DollarNet distribution was 27,134 coins. Not too difficult to find today in circulated condition. PCGS has certified 38 total example below AU. This coin is Pop 3 with 5 lower. 1926 Oregon Trail Memorial Half DollarNet distribution of this particular date/mm was 47,955 coins. Recall this was a long running 14 coin series which finally ended in 1939 after significant collector abuse. PCGS has certified 29 total Oregon Trail below AU ... many more exist raw ... mostly 1926 and 1926-S issues. This coin is Pop 2 with 4 lower for the 14 coin series. IMHO the 'best' design of the classic silver commemorative set. 1936 Long Island Tercentenary Half DollarNet distribution was 81,773 coins. Like most 1936 and later classic commemorative this is tough to find in circulated grade. PCGS has certified 6 examples below AU. This is the current PCGS low-ball example ... Pop 1 with 0 lower. I am enjoying all the coins so far in this thread ... and say again how much I appreciate Moe's kind decision to allow for the inclusion of the coins from my humble circulated commemorative set. More to come in future days. David

1877 IHC VG-7When I put this up here for grading it received an assortment of 6s and 8s plus a couple 6-8s so here it is on VG-7 day. This is a great thread with some great coins so far and it will only get better as the grades get worse.

Love all the history. Have been reading about different types as they are posted. Commems has some terrific write ups about the commemorative coins being posted on the commemorative forum.

Great half dollar, Moe! Yours should have been posted on VG-9 day, and mine today!

I have never seen so many VG07 coins in one location at the same time. Three excellent coins today ... thanks to jeffrose for that exceptional key-date IHC and VG07 dime. Another outstanding half dollar from our thread host Moe. I still have a few low-ball classic commemorative to share .... when their day arrives. Looking forward to all the great coins soon to come as we dive down into truly circulated range ... David
