I don't understand how you guys manage to pick up silver below spot. Most of the time if I buy below spot it is on junk silver. It is not that much below spot but something like if melt in a dime is say $2.32 my LCS that I deal with might only charge me $2.20 per dime. That is under spot but not by a great amount. I have never bought new good condition bullion under spot. I have picked up a couple pieces of flawed bullion where say spot is $30.37 and my LCS will charge me $30. Under spot but not by a huge amount. I don't imagine most here are buying for any huge amount under spot on a per oz. basis. Maybe if some are buying a $1,000 face bag of junk silver and they come in $.50 below spot. That makes it a $500 savings. Pretty substantial but you have to be in the market for $10,000s to see something like that.

Nice work bekiz! Any older ones, or are they all modern? It would be nice to see/hear what you were able to pick up.

@Canadian-banknotes,
I guess I have stalkers that are using my pictures to get my address. Though I don't keep most of my collection here I don't want any problems from weirdos trying to rob me and my family:(

throwbackid, you do know you just have to strip out the metadata that keeps GPS data in it right? It's called EXIF data. If they really are stalkers then they already have your information and who cares?
You ever done a google or bing search in the maps and it shows you pictures taken in those places, you didn't really think someone was tagging those by hand did you? All of these things are automated any more. I did a quick search and found several instructions on how to turn the data off when you are taking the pic, and free options to remove the data after you have taken the pics.
For the record, pictures have been doing this for years, most people just haven't had access to the hardware to do this (e.g. a camera with a gps unit). If you wanted location data you did have to manually tag it in the past. It holds other data too, like if the picture was edited, what software, the camera that was used, shutter speed, etc.
I use Firefox so I went to the Firefox plugins page and did a search for exif. There are several plugins that let you view the data.
This is not to scare people, it is just to let them know they need to watch out for this. You would take a picture of your new gold brick on top of the UPS box next to the shipped to address would you?

ThrowBackKid As I love to see pictures, I'll post a little advice a) Go to a local store, and pick up a dirt cheap point and shoot. b) If it is cheap enough, it will not be able to post location information. c) Post Away! Sounds good and easy, doesn't it? Welcome!

I guess I just liked being ignorant to it. I don't want to go out and buy a camera I like using my iphone. Its just a huge turn off when random members shoot you weird emails telling me they know my address and all this other weird stuff. Thanks for the tips and I may post more photos again after I get over this distaste in my mouth. I mean really why do weirdos got to go and look up all my info? Nothing better to do is the answer I think. If I lived alone I wouldn't sweat it but I have kids and I don't want to endanger them at all.

I'm probably around the age of your kids TBK.
I post pictures... Although that is very weird of those member to do.
Recommendation: don't post using a iPhone... Apple has ZERO respect for Privacy.

If you have an iPhone here is some instructions I found: http://osxdaily.com/2010/07/09/disa...hone-photos/I don't have an iPhone so I can't verify. I think you are being a bit alarmist also. If you're still posting no one has smashed your skull with a lead pipe yet and grabbed your loot. Speaking as someone who works in the tech industry, a lot of tech people have really bad social skills. They will sometimes do things to try and be helpful but come off weird or creepy in their delivery, (e.g. uh oh, throwbackid has the gps data in his phone pics, better tell him. Wait, if he has an iPhone then he has an unique iPhone account, did he use a similar name? Oh, he didn't vary his usernames, a thief could use that, I wonder what other accounts he has. A dozen google searches later they have tied together a bunch of different stuff and know where you graduated kindergarten.) Honestly it probably took them less than two minutes to get a bunch of data too. A lot of tech people are used to being ignored for being 'weird' too, so when they see a problem that could get someone in trouble they can come across as being dramatic because they want you to listen. I don't know who messaged you but I doubt it was meant to be malicious. On an unrelated note, the iPhone itself (and any cell phone for that matter) is a bigger threat to your safety. Fifteen years ago I had a roommate in college that had software on his laptop that would let you track people using their cell phones. If you only had one point you could pin point people down to about a city block, but if you got two or three laptops involved you could get it down to a twenty or thirty foot radius. I haven't checked but I am sure that software is still around and is probably more user friendly than ever. Considering how many people need to be surgically removed from their cell phones who knows. The old dystopian novels speculated that we would be forces to wear tracking devices. The truth is that we willing wear them for convenience. I'm not sure if any thieves have used this technology but after see what my roommate could do with it... I should mention that he was not doing anything malicious and was just using it to track (willing) people for a behavioral psychology class.
