From a quick search:

L-Son is "short" for Lawrence & Sons smelters & refiners out of Mojave Ca.
L-Son is noted for the purity of their silver and old pour L-Son bars are highly sought after.

Do I get a cookie?

Many small refinery's that made these old pour bars have come and gone along the way over the years, most of which had a name which carried little significance to their bars premium now and as crude as that is very possible made by just a individual/amateur bar maker perhaps, if not for once having Lson on the bar, which may be an exception to my thought above and sought after as Windchill mentioned....

Any old Nevada silver company always seem to go crazy high on ebay as well....

As far as the minor magnet pull, perhaps the bar is .925 or even .988 or something with just enough metal content to draw that pull, which like TBK said should not occur at all....

I grabbed me a nice set of pocket scales on ebay for 10 bucks so as to eliminate any odd weight items. Con artist cant match the weight correctly all to often....

And a difference of .2 DWT is probably just scales off a bit and nothing to concern ones self with, however and entire gram off or DWT especially is a red flag I figure. Obviously with a random weight old pour that is irrelevant to this bar, but not with Pandas, ASE, Morgans, etc....

I think it was just a bad air bubble pour as mentioned before as well....
