Sometimes I wish that I could go back in time, find whoever it was that polished the coin and tell them not to do that. Unfortunately, almost all the coins I inherited are polished. Thanks for the grade guesses.
I believe the only way you can restore a more natural looking surface would be to use it as a pocket piece but you will be left with a coin in a much lower grade. Unless you want to go that route, I would just leave it alone.
