If the coin was real I'd say EF-45. I have my doubts on this one because of the lumps on LIBERTY and mushy details on the whole coin.

Yeah, I am also a little bit uneasy but I don't quite see enough evidence to condemn it. Maybe it is just the lighting that is throwing me off. Details look like they could be on a low AU coin but lack of luster could drop it to a high EF.

What caught my attention was the bubble holes in the fields below the wings, the raised bumps on the Liberty in head band. There are also some bubble dimples on obverse not to be confused with the other field marks. The coin just does not look right. It looks like a cast coin.

I weighed and measured all of our US gold coins including this one. The measurements are correct for the real deal. I examined the reeded edges and found no sprue marks.
