The graded coin that was listed and not sold, belongs to a dealer friend of mine. Robert uses a scanner to do images, so the images on the graded ones is horrible. He hasn't figured out how to transfer the images from camera to computer.
Anyone interested in this graded coin, I can provide contact info. Robert is in AZ. A really trustworthy seller.

I like the look of "white" Loonie, instead of yellow.
But it not pure silver.... Without any disrespect to rare item, I afraid that dealer will offer only "melt" for it. Like some dealer offered me to pay melt for my extra BoC gold coin and Superman Gold coin. Yeah, that true....I just was curios and inquired for the "buy" prices.

With PCGS, you need to pay extra to have a notation on the label, the only important fact about this coin is it's mintage figure you need a large TPG to agree to it for confirmation, the grade is not important. Even an ICCS flip with the mintage notation might start the ball rolling.

I don't think I'd ever take my coins to a dealer to sell. They'll always offer you melt value for your coin because their a business plain and simple. I can't blame them for trying.
They'll all grade high but if your lucky enough to get the magic 70 then the finding a buyer willing to pay high will be infinitely easier.

That's I agree...everyone has his own business. I just was curios about prices, that dealers will buy a numis items. So except the recent hot items - it for melt by default. I just see this will happen with this set also. The new collectors gen, let's say from 2020 will even not be interested to buy the nowdays rare items... Kind of "nice to have, but impossible to resell" And here yingyang very correct by selling them now.

Yeah the more I talk with collectors the more I learn. My friends into doing registry sets and wants to have the top one. So he's always getting coins graded, looking for the elusive PR 70. It's something I've never looked at, I feel it's above my head currently. I'm curious, are the silver loons sterling silver? Someone mentioned they're not pure silver. Also what are reasonable prices for the various years of silver loons? I've seen a few silver loons on auction, I just don't know a reasonable price for the various years. The more I keep reading this thread, the more interested I'm becoming in the silver loon. At first I didn't like the look of a silver loon, it seemed odd. Now I'm starting to think, it would be a unique addition to a silver dollar collection, if it's not too expensive. Of course, I'm in no rush, it's still in the idea stage.

The only expensive ones are the four different ones from 2007 They seem to sell for around $300 for the silver rattle up to $800 plus for the loon. I have all the silver loons and I think they look good mixed in with my comemritive silver dollars :-)
