The problem I have with this coin is Leroy labeled it a late die state Vam-9. The mint mark is not in the right spot for the Vam-9. The break also has full displacement on a year and mint mark coin that many look right there looking for the clashing, and this is the first breaker seen. J Roberts told me to send it back to him as if it never when there. And a letter stating what VAM it looks to be. JR was not sure of that as well other then to say its not a Vam-9 for sure.
I found a second 1 on E-Bay that has been cleaned and the seller had it listed for 500.00 and MS. I told him I not only had the same coin and die pairing but my coin was about the same grade just not cleaned. I then told him about the break and where to find it. Its still up for sale but now for 200.00 the guy is reading a grading book and fails to see luster breaks and flat spots on high points as ware. I suggested that he post the coin here for opinions on Grade and sent him a link to this coin.
We all started with no knowledge then grabbed a bunch of information and very little understanding and made mistakes. I do not think the seller is playing games, he just is misinformed. We all hoped our coins where worth more then they are from time to time!
It looks to have a light clashed N but not the same as the Vam-13 also a Clashed M but not is the same spot it has been clashed 2 times with about 7 degree rotation posible light E clash on an EDS of this coin has it looks to of had a bit of wreath clash on top of the head but its been almost all worn off.
