The 50 cent rolls should be coming out in the next month or 2.

just heard they will be selling each roll for 9,95$ and less than 20000 rolls

Easily the lamest Farewell product yet. Can't imagine why anyone would pay 10 bucks plus tax for 50 cents worth of common coins. Must be one special wrapper.

And sadly, they will sell out.

Heck, this is a great deal....but not as good as the next product...the first year special roll of 2013 pennies..."The first year the roll doesn't actually include any pennies!" It will cost a little more...$11.95 plus taxes...but definitely worth it!

Yes...definitely joking! Just playing on the increased prices of some of the other products of 2013 touting that these are the first sets not to include the penny.

We lowered our costs and pass the savings onto .... Wait, how is that supposed to go?

The premium proof set is the most crazy. Drop the most sought after part of the 2012 set, and then charge the same.

So the news that this special 'item' is actually just a grossly overpriced roll of 2012 pennies with a special wrapper has hit FB. Thanks to a MC and member of this forum.

Reactions are not all good including some slight MC bashing. Nice PR fumble for the RCM.

I don't really want to spend $10+ on this roll when I have 80+ rolls, but I think people might go crazy on this one and it could double or triple in perceived value....

Has anyone bought or considered buying it?

When the new Lincoln Cent design came out in 2009 the first design change was the"log cabin". The mint offered a P and D mint roll in 'special mint' wrapper. The rolls were $8.95. Mintage was around 100,000 sets. They stayed above $100 a set on ebay for years.

The Cdn ones are 20,000 rolls with a limit of one per family, with a serial number on the roll.

I'm a buyer.

yep. I bought a roll. I'm just guessing that the price will go up since the 50 cent rolls seem to go up in price and always get sold out quickly.
