anyone know how big is the section for world coins in the ANA show in Chicago? I am planning to stay for 2 days, is it typical enough?

Their will be a lot of different booths selling world coins, it will depend how long you spend at each booth, my first time at ANA I had 4 days.

Bought the tickets and made the reservations today! Chicago (Rosemont) here we come. Taking the train to Union Station then the Blue Line to O'Hare. We will be staying at the Super 8 Hotel on Touhy Ave Rt. 72. The one you people mentioned coming in on Wednesday through Saturday then return to Chicago with a one night stay. I know we have a number of questions that I hope you people can help. We did the Philly Show. Just question about our itinerary.

A couple of questions. How hard is it to go from Union Station to the Blue Line station? We both will have two luggage bags. Will this be a problem on the Blue Line? Looks like the motel has a pick up point at O'Hare, correct? Pretty sure on this. Thanks. I'm sure there will be more questions.

The stations are a couple of blocks apart. Union Station is underground and Clinton Station (I think) for the Blue Line is one story above ground -- elevated train.
I can't remember if Amtrak is on the south or north side of Union Station. So you could easily have another block to walk inside the station. I kind of think Amtrak arrives at the south end but I am not positive. If it's on the north side, you will have that extra block.
There are no luggage racks on the El, (Blue Line) but I'm sure they've dealt with luggage before because it goes to the airport 24/7.
You can check Union Station site for maps.
I haven't been out there for some time but I think the Blue Line arrives below ground level at the airport and, of course the van from the hotel will be on street level BUT there are escalators at ALL the stations. And they're usually working.
Hope that helps.

Buddy, thanks for the information. Still trying to get things straight. @ VT What is the name of the shuttle from the motel? I will probably have to call them to get pick up place and times. Do not see this on their site. Looks like a good place to stay, I hope.( not like "no hope" lol) The name tag thing sounds like a good idea. "Who's on first......CCF!"

Quote: Where you coming in from Carl? My wife is real good at getting as many discounts she can when it comes to hotels and rental cars. She's also studying public trans to and from the show. Not coming in from anywhere. Live about 4 or 5 miles from there. I suggest people coming in from other places call or email places for as many maps as possible. Usually nothing to loose by requesting maps of Metra Services, CTA in Chicago maps, etc. If coming in at Union Station, a small map of the downtown area of Chicago may really be helpfull. Union Station is several blocks West of the L/Subway system required to get you to Rosemont. Union Station is just West of what used to be Sears Towers, now Willis Towers, by one block. Then you would walk East, towards the Lake by several blocks to get to the CTA system. A Map of Chicao would help. Same with any maps of the CTA system. A taxi from Union Station to Rosemont would cost more than the entire trip. Time is getting close so I think I'll check out more places in the area. Quote: A couple of questions. Looks like the motel has a pick up point at O'Hare, correct? Pretty sure on this. Thanks. I'm sure there will be more questions. Like I said a map of Chicago downtown would help. When you get out of Union Staion, you could just walk East until you get to the CTA systems. The one you need is a Subway entrance to that system. So if walking, you'll first see an overhead system on a street called Wells. That is not what you want. Then you woud have to go about 3 blocks further to the Subway system. If you have luggage a cab would be really helpfull. You can bring luggage with you on the L/Subway system but if during rush hour, not a good idea. Again, pending the size of the luggage, sort of a long walk to the CTA station you need.

Quote: We will be staying at the Super 8 Hotel on Touhy Ave Rt. 72 Thanks Just Carl, we have been down loading google maps, Rail ('L') System Map and downtown Chicago. Along with Rosemont and O'Hare. So there is a difference between the CTA System and L/Subway system. Correct?
