Otay searching through rolls of cents...and finding Canadian cents in some of the rolls (actually I don't mind finding them). I was wondering what other strange things people have found in rolls of coins; but let me tell you some other things I have found before we hear yours. Searching through cent rolls I have found dimes also not many but have found them. As far as nickel rolls I have found a slug or two.Quarters and Halves I have never found anything strange. Going through dime rolls I actually found 10 rolls that had 5 extra dimes in each roll. Now I really thought that was strange but should have known something cause they were barely closed but I just thought they were poorly wrapped.

Many different foreign coins, cat hair (i think:)etc. One thing that I got a kick out of though many times were the cheapskates who took out one dime in a roll and put in a one cent. Several times now I have found a silver dime in a roll that was one cented. LOL. Payback I guess. Thought they gained 9 cents but actually they lost a few dollars.

It wasn't me, but I remember reading in one of the roll search threads about a year ago that someone found a tooth. I still laugh about that one.

In rolls of small dollars, I have found impaired proofs, a gold plated quarter, and a British 2 Pence. The quarter was from a bank wrapped roll. The 2 Pence was in a sealed box from the bank's supplier.

I've found a handful of these things in cent rolls (pictured with a normal cent for comparison). I've lost count of all of the bizarro things I've found in rolls. Tokens, Magician's coins, large foreign silver coins in half dollar rolls, even a guitar pick (that in a bank bag).

Haven't found much that was too strange up here in Maine, although I do tend to find more coins from Bahamas and Bermuda than normal. I think they come up on the cruise ships that dock in Portland during the summer and fall.

In penny rolls in Canada I have found British pennies (the small ones ), one, two, and five euro coins, a nickel, countless other foreign coins, and a few dimes. At work we had a group of dime rolls that all had a 5 pence coin in them. We have also found a United Arab Emirates coin the size of a quarter in a quarter roll.
