It is 4:57 and I can happily say that my chat is over.

Shanta had a problem with answering me. I took 1/2 hour to get the last reply in to me. She apologized and told me it was because she was answering the phone and doing emails.

I asked her how this was possible since while waiting for her reply I had called the company quite a few times through the 3 separate menu options their automated system has; was told on each channel that my call was the first one in line and a rep would be right with me; waited for quite awhile each time; and eventually had each channel automatically defer me to a message asking my name and phone number so they could call me back.

For some reason she cut off the chat?!

Well... I have all day... so I got back online and went to the live chat.

This time it was Jennifer. She asked what was wrong. I sent a pre-written copy/pasted list of the entire story (helps keeping notes). Within one minute of hitting send:

Quote:

Jennifer (16:40:04): is this lee?
Lee (16:40:13): Yes
Jennifer (16:41:55): I am sending you a pretty copper right now with a stamped envelope inside so you dont have to pay for shipping
Lee (16:42:28): Thank you Jennifer - this is all I asked.
Jennifer (16:43:06): it will go out today but there is no tracking it is going through regular mail! I apologize . I have it literally in my hand right now and am taking to to the back to get it out today!
Jennifer (16:43:48): I understand the frustration and I truly apologize. I'm making sure this is done right, right now!!
Lee (16:43:52): You are a wonderful person. Tell Shanta I am sorry for any major problems my chat may have caused her, but I was just asking for my order.
Jennifer (16:44:28): it is okay! I will let her know!
Jennifer (16:44:43): thank you so much for being patient
Lee (16:45:21): I appreciate finally being able to get something done - you are a credit to your company. Take care.

I guess when they see you can easily wait 4 hours to try to get a resolution, the next person on the chat will get the problem taken care of?

I DO note that she said, "it will go out today but there is no tracking it is going through regular mail"

Glad I saved these transcripts from the chats. We shall see...

But I have the time

BTW - to her credit - I have to wonder if Shanta's first language is English? Upon reviewing the transcript with her, there were times her English was not correct, and her understanding seemed a bit hindered b/c she did re-ask the same question. Also she used a few English words out of context.

At times to keep the conversation lighter while waiting for her reply I would Yoda-type things such as "Shanta, my answer you are finding... yes?;" and "Back from lunch you are? Good it was, I hope!" See, I can, how Yoda-speak confusing would be to a person like this.

Will update when (if) I get satisfaction (this time around )

What makes you say that ? Their site is still up and their facebook is still up.

They just have suspended sales. Presumably to catch up. ( and hopefully to come up with a better business model)

I placed an order for 6 coins on 2/23 and I just received my confirmation that they shipped today 4/12. 48 days, not too bad. Any chance I can get an adjustment to today's silver price? LOL

You should consider yourself lucky Merc Man. My send order also shipped yesterday but I placed my order on 2/06/13 but I did write a check. I really hope they reopen soon because I really like their products. In fact I bought another tube of Freedom Girl today from Provident for under $30 each shipped. A lot cheaper then the $35 per from the Mulligan Mint and I bet I see the ones from Provident before the end of April instead of SBSS that would have them to me in late July.

What happened to the new medallion being released on April 15th?
Also no more 2.99 premium it is now 5.99.
I like the medallions they are different. I would not
Buy to many of them. The quality control on the BU's are horrible scratches dents dings the finish is bad. The proofs on the other hand are beautiful paying a $15.00 premium is
Not a great investment. Perth Mint and canadian wildlife series are going to hold a better nusmatic value. No new videos from Chris since the start of the meltdown on Friday. Watch he starts selling 1 ounce 60% silver medallions for $20.00.

Keep stacking and watch out for rising premiums

I hope this does not sound too skeptical, but if the blame is all on the other guy, how does this explain the poor customer service? Also how does it explain what appeared to be a lie from CS to me - see previous post where they said they could not answer my live chat questions for 1/2 hour b/c of answering the phone - yet I was calling them during this time and was never answered - always went to voice message although I was assured, by machine, each time I called I was first in line?

It took me 4 hours of keeping the chat line open - then they cut me off after I presented the above info to them - and I had to reopen another chat to get any action at all.

Something fishy in the whole thing.

Chris Duane is just using his expertise in used car sales here

Trying to deflect the blame off of him and onto others.

If feel bad for all of you who ordered through this mess and hope you get your coins ASAP!

This is turning out to be messed up!
Not to falsely alarm anybody but the partnership between Chris Duane and Rob Gray
seems to be officially over since 2 days ago. By Chris's own admission, he stormed off
after a 5 minute talk with his Mulligan Mint owner and that's it...kaput, finito, done...
It seems his partner went on a shopping spree buying a mansion on an air strip, vacations
and whatever else. March 11th, the company had a backlog of 92,000 ounces! The sales
director abruptly quit on April 11th...The kicker is that R.Gray chose to deliver to wholesalers
BEFORE paid retail customers in waiting. If they can't workout their differences and/or if this
Rob Gray guy doesn't deliver the paid orders, it could spell a class action suit.

I wish Chris would have recorded his meeting with Rob. I ordered from sbss took 2 months to get. I Ordered freedom girls from provident took 1 week to get.
I wont be Ordering anything direct from Chris again I will only order from
Dealers that have them in stock. Chris even made a video about ordering from
Places that make you wait weeks and months to get you order. I wonder what the mint
is doing with his dies. The debt and death medallion will sell all day long on ebay for $60-$100. You could get rich by doubling to tripling your money.

I am going to revive this thread.

I just found these medallions the other day. It is too bad they apparently couldn't get the manufacturing side of them figured out. I actually thought the idea and the coins are pretty cool. I have all the proofs except the new years coin as well as the debt and death and a few freedom girls. I'm not interested in buying a copper death and debt coin for $40 or $50 and the new years coin for over $100 is not one I can see buying either.

One of my customers told me about the Slave Queen, amd I knew I HAD to have one! I got it yesterday, it cost me near $45, and it was well wortg it. I love the symbolism, even tho I am not drinking the koolaid, maybe sipping. I dislike the alternate font for "slave", but otherwise it's gorgeous.
