Just ordered some more through CP.... apparently there is a limit of 5 per order, but the system let the Rep put in an order for 10 (she tried to do more and it said that the order exceeded the limit).

@SA4H "Only 0.01666% of the total mintage" of 30,000 that is around 500 Dino coins you have?

I'd say he got 5. At least based on math I studied in my childhood ;-)

Does anyone know how many Dino's CP started off with.... when I spoke to the rep on the phone she said that they are selling really fast and everyone is buying the max (of 5 coins).... since they've been for sale at CP for almost a week now, I would have expected that they would be close to selling out by now.

I think we can say with certainty it won't be showing up on the canadapost website.

it' is kinda sad, all the coins being sold on the website gotta be coming from somewhere. My guess is very, very few will actually make it to the individual post office outlets.

I placed an order for 3 as part of the MC release. I'm going to cancel all 3, since they are not going to do well in the secondary market. People are selling for $53 BIN...such low profit to even bother. As for the series, I dont really care for glow in the dark numismatics.

@RoyalSilver: Keep in mind that most major retailers are still selling this product at issue price (even the Mint), so its not surprising that they are not fetching high prices on the secondary market. That being said, ColonialAcres has sold out completely and Canadian Coin and Currency has increased the price on their remaining stock to $39.99. I don't think that anyone in their right mind expects these to do as well as the first one, but even if prices are only at $40 in a month... that's still a 25% increase on your investment!

The first one didn't even sell out this quick, so people need to relax. IMO

That's still a $10-$12 profit. Not bad but hardly worth all the work for so little money. I'm not sure if people don't know how to price items on ebay or if they just bought to many and want to flip them as fast as they can. $53 after fees is a 30%-35% profit not 50%. Either way I think $50 to $60 is still a fair price for this coin. You can't get a 30% return at the bank or on any mutual fund right now. By they way, being profitable on ebay is about timing. The best items are the ones people dismiss. If this coin does poorly and lots of people buy it they may get the third and fourth coins also. This will explode the price of the first coin and cause the second coin to rise in price also. What it comes down to is how greedy are you and can you afford to wait?

Absolutely! Also, keep in mind that if you bought from the RCM or CP you will have 10-30 days to return them..... that should be lots of time to see if they do OK.

Look how long it took for the fractional set to start going up in price. It takes patience, I'm putting 20-30 dinos away until the 3rd and 4th coins are released.

If you bought from small POs at SDM you can't return your coin.
