I think the fractional set is the better choice. Almost did buy a second set when it was still available at my local PO last week. Now I regret it, given that they mostly sell on the open market at or near $300.

I really feel that you can't have one without the other. The only 5oz I've bought is the penny, but now I have no choice but to buy one of these as well!

Agreed w/ silverfever. When the set was still avail at issue, I was able to sell it for around $260, netting around $230. I didn't want the set after ordering.... but then I'd changed my mind when saw the Britannia 25th Annie set and Libertad 25th Annie set in hand..... I bought the set back from Gatewest for $230 shipped..... ===> I get zero $$$ gain, eBay/PayPal made $30, the buyer that bought my coin paid the $30 fees to eBay/PayPal.
I'm pretty sure the set would hold its value over the long run..... but won't increase in value significantly, considering the Libertad & Britannia 25th Annie set mintages was around 2000-3000 each vs. 10,000 for the Fractional.

Gatewest is up to $235 now. The coins look really sharp. My second set is on the way.
I think it'll be a winner because the graded prices are very strong - there's a lot of money to be made by dealers picking over sets to find the 70s and they have 5 chances per set.

On ebay, the one ounce reverse proof PF70 have sold for $370-$440 recently. Those are NGC graded. I haven't seen any PCGS graded coins.

It cost about $20/ea to get the coins grade, meaning $100 per set. Sending in 5 sets and you should probably get 1 or 2 set of 70s. I saw some set listed for $1200 and up. So, base cost: $200+$100 per set to grade x 5 set = $1500 If getting back 1 set of 70s ===> sell on ebay $1200 (70s set) + $250/set (remaining 4 sets of 69s) = $2200 ==> after fees (15%) ===> $1870. Meaning the dealer net $370. If getting back 2 set of 70s ===> $2400 (two 70s sets + $250/set (three 69s sets) = $3150 ==> after fees (15%)===> $2677.50. Meaning the dealer will net $$1177.50. Over all, it only make economical sense if you are sending in multiple set to be able to achieve the few 70s set. Anyone having 5+ set, I would recommend putting out the extra capital and send them in for grade so that at least you can achieve a set of 70s for your collection. If worst come worst, you just crack out the 69s coins and put back into the box (the different btw 69s and 70s is almost un-distinguishable by normal collectors) or you even get a upgrade to 70s if resubmit..... it's a number game. The main thing the cost of get them grade. I've the experience of sending in the American Silver Eagle 2011 & 2012 sets, so I kinda know. I haven't sell any of my ASE yet though.
