I have put together my slabbed 7070, minus the gold page (which is on hold with four coins so far) and the last couple of months I have been "upgrading" some of the coins. You may have noticed some of my "Pocket It Now" listings. I have been drawn into some of the varieties, the more descriptive (wordy) the labels the better (IMO).

It may something to do with the "reports" that I used to write in the Air Force..."no white space" on the forms; if there is emptiness on the form you are not properly describing the actions that took place which would discredit the individual being reported on.

Attribution can be a wonderful thing, if labeled properly. Something that I noticed when looking for VAM's, TOP 100, HOT 50, etc... is that there are a lot of unattributed (identified on the slab insert) descriptions that people use their "label-maker" to identify their findings. I have found attribution myself on slabbed coins that I have purchased, but I would rather resubmit the coin and have the TPG'ers make it a matter of "official" record.

I show off my recent purchases to the guys & gals at my work-center, and they usually read the label and then start asking questions which I happily encourage, until it becomes a distraction at work.

I was just wondering if my "geek" was showing.

I'm about the farthest thing from a geek ... Harley rider, hunt, fish, golf, and just about any other sport. I tolerate cell phones, don't tweet or text. I am adequately proficient using a computer and the software available because the job requires it. I spent 25 1/2 years in the Air Force. Kind of live hard and fast ... yet I am fascinated by coins and have been as long as I remember.
I was not aware you must be a geek to collect.

But if you have to be a geek to collect coins, then I'm a geek!
