Nice coins, dont feel bad though. Only feel bad when you know the person does not know what he has and you work to get them even cheaper. Paying the asking price with a grin on your face is good for all, he got what he was asking and you got what you wanted at a great price. Just dont make the mistake some people make and tell the person what an item is worth After you buy... thats just mean.

Don't feel bad at all,you paid what the seller wanted. As for grading,i would not. They are not in a high enough grade. John1

I wouldnt feel bad. the seller felt that was a fair price they would be satisfied with. personally, I would of just given them $10 for the pair. getting a silver half for $5 is still a good deal id be very pleased with.right after that I would of asked if they had any other coins I could make fair offers on or if anyone they knew might. people like feeling like they got a good deal all around and if the seller is also happy they got more than they had been asking it can open doors for you.

Nice find...sell em to me for $6 and I'll let you know if I feel guilty about the purchase!
On the slabbing thing - I think the money you saved buying them would be wasted on the slabbing. You could sell them today for about $15 each and if you slab them and get MS62 maybe you'll get a premium but not much more than the $15. (IMO)

The first coin looks cleaned to me, unless all those tiny scratches are on the holder. The second one looks original. Great find for $5!

It looks like the coins were marked $3 each which would be $6 for the pair. Your OP says you paid $5 for the pair. I wouldn't have felt bad paying the $6 bucks, but probably would have if I negotiated down from there.

trdhrdr007: he volunteered the $5 if I wanted them both. I was already ecstatic about the $3 price point.

Nice Franklins, I would flip them for a quick profit, unless you are collecting the series.

Are you kidding me? $5.00 for the pair? Talk about a NO-BRAINER! I would have purchased those blind, without even seeing them.Congrats. One alone, in the silver content is worth more than what you purchased two of them for.Very nice find! -joey

I wouldn't feel bad. Like 90% of the people have PC's now. He could of checked them out. But no, he wanted to make a $4.00 profit off them. I bet he was laughing that some guy gave him 5 dollars for one dollar.
