simply greed, is a sticker really worth upwards of 500$, it was simply a roll that got the last sticker, and even then the rolls were not given out in the order that they were ordered. There are 1000's of us who have not even received our rolls. In my opinion the last roll that is shipped out from the mint should of had the number 20,000..but what ever. it is what it is..

not a fan of retracting bids, like many have said it taints the auction. Also don't bid if you cannot pay. but thats ebay for you always for the buyers, never in favor of the sellers. Sold an item last night in which the buyer messaged me and said they will not be paying for the item

That initial retracted bid probably cost the second bidder to retract the $700.00 bid because thanks to the initial bid retraction, IMHO this whole auction now stinks. I don't blame the second retractor, I personally would do the same if I smelt anything fishy. The sad thing is that this is no fault of the seller.

Special serial numbers make a big difference. It can add 20x to 100x to the value to the item. I have seen special serial number bills in Asia going for hundreds of dollars because they were a series of sequential lucky numbers. So I think this roll could be worth $200 to $1000. It is the last of the last pennies.

edit: Sorry, miss read the original post. @swrbxxx just cancel. This is part of doing business now on ebay. About 1 in 50 auctions will go bad.

Quote:I would open up a non paying bidder's case with ebay swrbxxx Definitely. I once has a buyer messaged me to cancel his bid because he didn't realized the item is in Canada and worried he might get ding for duties. I can understand that and it was an initial bid. Plus if he doesn't know how to cancel bid, chances are he is still new in ebay land so I was willing to cancel his bid.

Dooby Rak, In swrbxxx's case, the auction had ended and the buyer sent a message refusing to pay.

yes the auction ended. then got a message from the buyer saying the price of silver dropped and will not be paying for the item.
This has been an on going thing to many bullion sellers. There is a part of me that wants to make an example of this buyer. I have a really good lawyer, and right now its principal someone needs to set an example out of someone even if it is on the small scale. The buyer lives in the same province as me. So maybe he will be getting served.

IMO, it is really hard to tell whether if it is worth to pay such a high premium for the special number (not only COA).
Some people love this, some people love that.
When I saw a car with number "8888" on Hong Kong street. I just wonder how much did he pay to get this special number.
For me, right now, I do not have such extra money to spend on those special number things.

It was only a roll of silver quarters . Its just horrible ebay lets these buyers get away with it. I just feel like its time someone gets taught a lesson.

swrbxxx That's brutal, the guy can't even make up a story or something. Just straight up says I'm not paying because silver dropped, I wish I had that option with bullion dealers. 😈 ebay should have a special policy about bullion, somehow charge the buyer the market loss. ebay already doesn't give eBaybucks to buyers buying bullion, they could use that money to pay bullion sellers like you who get messed up.
