Hello, first time poster and coin collector.
I have found this penny that is mostly silver in look. I am wondering if anyone tell me on how to go about confirming if it's real or just altered by something. It does look like it can flake off the silver content and very rough in look in around both the queen and leafs.
I don't know if I'm allowed to post links but this is what I think it might be, it's all I can find about it. Not saying it's it but would like to know about on how going to authenticate it.

It appears to be plated with silver or another silver-coloured metal. But I think there are also mint sets that contained silver pennies, so maybe this is one of those.
