tristen1230 I meant that it hadn't been released as in, master club members shouldn't have even known there was a release until
1. They received an email 2. It showed available on the mint website.
The only reasons they knew these coins existed and the supposed release date was due to forum chatter... This caused great grief for CP, Mint, and for everyone interested in this coin.

The butterfly is selling well on ebay even better than the bumble bee coin. I must admit I am very surprised about the appreciation of the butterfly.

yes, but it still RCM fault for allowing Canada Post to presell weeks ahead of their own launch date. How hard is it control your own dealer network?

Wow, I even didn't think about the possibility to pre-order from RCM these coins for non-MC members! Then what is the benefit of being in this club?

I'm guessing Canada Posts allotment doesn't change. Just because people were calling in like mad doesn't mean CP now gets "3000 instead of 2000" they have set limits and like others have said before, expect CP to cancel many of them. The outlets cant even order the coins yet. They will be looking out for them.
Again. I don't think they were expecting this surge of craziness.

Canada Post should not have taken any orders period. They did not know 100% if they would get the coin, It should not be mentioned to people until it is released to them. Mine had no hesitation telling me the release date on the website. But I believe who started this was people on ebay put Canada Post pictures on. Ultimately Canada Post released it to the public a month in advanced.

Those who ordered through CP reduces the inventory available to outlet stores. CP has sold mint products before the official release date. People were ordering the dinosaur coins a few weeks before they were on the mint webpage.

For this coin if you did I would not trust CP on actually getting it in.

Are you looking to get your money back or getting other coins?

@princeD11 - I bought 2. I have no others in the series. I am planning to flip 1. Make a bunch of profit hopefully then with that profit buy 2 in the next series if it will be popular but if not then I would just buy 1. And then so on. I am sure some other people would buy it from you a a premium though. That option would be available.
I also knew this coin would be big since of the release at CP and everyone buying through phone so when people got home at like 5 it would be all sold out and would buy them at a premium.

Tristen "If the coins shouldn't be mentioned until they are released"..... Then none of us should have been talking about it either....and CP does know they are getting the coin... It's people on ebay that are guessing if they'll get it. I wonder how many have had to back petal out of sales.

This series will continue for as long as possible. Even if the mint raises the price to $200 next year, it will still sell out.

Quote: people were calling in like mad [....] like others have said before, expect CP to cancel many of them. why would you think so? RCM might be worried about fairness but CP? This is a business and they can only be happy to sell their stock ASAP

You can cancel as fast as you bought. Pretty simple.
