I think so because they have a history of doing this..... It has nothing to do with fairness. I think they just oversell and end up having to cancel a bunch.

@unclekim - For me. Can't speak for Coin_Chick. My post office made it very clear. Not every post office will be getting some. None would know until the day of release or the day before release because it is like us except it is against all the CP in Canada. They go on their website and order 2. There is not enough for all of them so if you ordered and they said sure and they did not get one then sorry you will not get one. They will not go on the mints door asking for 2 more or CP head office.

I guess I'll think about it...maybe return or flip? Is selling a few coins on ebay worth it?

Returning costs you money, so that would be out in my mind. Sell it to one of the members on the forum at issue price that isn't a master club member...and truly wants it for collecting.

@PrinceD11, you could probably swap one for a bee to have two in the series.

Why is CP selling coins without knowing their allotment from the mint?

I must say, I was disappointed at how Canada Post handled this one. I checked with 3 reps and they all denied that they even had this coin for sale. Comments like, "was never available; never heard of it; and even "not part of our inventory." So I mentioned that many ordered it awhile ago and finally one rep admitted they did have it at one time. The consensus is that Canada Post outlets will not be getting this coin, unless there is Overstock (i.e. whatever coins are left over). CP outlets won't be guaranteed these coins even if they ordered them. I thought outlets were allowed 2 coins each?... in any case, it doesn't appear well-organized...

Hobbes What makes you think they didn't know what their allotment was going to be? They are their biggest dealer and have been doing this for many years..

@Prince allow yourself to receive messages and I'm sure you'll be swamped.

I hope that happened not with pre-sales. I can see it happening during regular sales, when both phone and online sales are active.
