from the mint blog:

"Preliminary information was provided regarding the contents of the set and its period of availability. It was indicated that the sets would be available during a one month window open from May 13 to June 13, 2013 (now indicated as "May/June" on the product schedule). The two coins included in the set would be struck at the West Point Mint with the "W" mint mark. The first coin would carry a reverse proof finish, while the second would carry an uncirculated finish. With regards to the second coin, it was further indicated that the uncirculated coin would be different in some material way from the regular uncirculated coin offered separately."

Yeah I'm feeling kinda "meh" about this one, too. And I love ASEs.

I will purchase the set but I am hopeful that it will contain two unique coins and not a double up as I have seen with other offerings.

I'm guessing the pics don't do it justice.

Maybe more since everything else has higher prices. 150s probably the minimum best case scenario price

I wouldn't be surprised if the price was more than $150 for this set even if silver prices drop.

I like that one.

I might have to break down and order the set when they become available.

Walking Liberty's dress reminds me of the stripes on a candy cane. Candy-Cane ASE's anyone? Sign me up for 2 sets! This ASE is funky looking for sure! I agree with the others, I think it's just something we are all going to have to see in-hand and decide if we like it then. I'll buy any ASE they put out because I'm a sucker for them...even candy cane ones!

I was wondering if this "enhanced coin" should just be called an uncirculated coin or if it should be called a proof since it is struck 3 times to make the coin? A small part of the coin will have a polished mirror finish, correct. A proof coin is considered a proof since it is struck twice, maybe a coin that is struck 3 times should be considered an "enhanced proof"? Has the U.S. mint ever stuck a certain coin 3 times to complete a finish? Thoughts anyone?

If the pics are accurate it definitely looks more like a proof than a burnished Eagle

The mint is calling it a " unique uncirculated " Not using proof dies, except for a certain part of the device. I am thinking it will stay in the uncirculated catagory.
