I agree with all above comments. It is definitely not the style of 3 seen in 1943. The 3 should has a sharp end pointed downward, extended well beyond the number 4. This coin either is 1945 or 1948 with the left half of 8 erased by a metal tool.
I have a 20 bin tray thing that I use when I sort cents that I set up for using the Cherry Pickers Guide for all dates with doubled dies, 1992 CAM, WAM, RPM, etc and I went through it one day and found a worn 1980 with a doubled die liberty. I was all excited until I got out my Cherry Pickers Guide and found the one I had was worth maybe $2 after all of the sorting and magnifying.
That is why I only pull the 1974D Kennedy halves are they are the easiest to spot and the most common to find. I think the next few boxes of cent swill just be pulling copper and wheats.
