Hello. What do you think about this half dollar? I do not know the diameter, weight and response of the magnet. As soon as I find out I will let you know. I think date looks weird - space between 1 and 8 is huge. If it's original, how you estimate the value of this coin? Thanks for help.

If it's fake, it's a very good die transfer copy of die variety O-115. The date's just right for that die pair.

with philadelphian on the O115 variety and I believe it is an original. I'm not an expert on counterfeits but I would think that if it was fake it wouldn't have the edge lettering. There are 15 varieties of the 1818 and the O115 is one of two considered very scarce. The rarity rating is R5 which means there are an estimated 31-80 surviving specimens. Whether or not this would add to the value would depend if a buyer was a variety collector. Here is a link to a value guide.
