I'm back now, and while I was away, spent $40 in 2 dollar bills. It was a youth gathering event I was at and one of the guys I met there was interested in the fact that I had so many. He traded 2 singles for one of my twos, and even signed the bills along with his friends since he wants me to keep the bills we traded, so now I am.

$10,438 to go.

In the not too distant past, I spent a strap of $200 in $2 bills all over different places on random things. (Yes it was a new Series 2013 strap, and from the Western BEP facility)

I used two $2 bills to pay for a restaurant tab. The waiter saw the bills and told me he thought they were the coolest things ever. I told him he can go to a bank and ask for them.

Later that day, I spent another $2 at Subway.

$10,126 to go.

My mom spent $26 at the farmers market. But annoyingly, she didn't ask me first, and now I have a bunch of ratty twos that I would've given to her to spend if she had told me, since ALL the bills she spent were the crisp ones I wanted to save for awhile.

Well, the last two weeks at the farmers market and around town, the usual amounts of $2 bills were given as change. Last week was $622, the week before was $596. As noted we give out enough in a year that I cover the whole challenge each year!

$8882 to go * corrected total
