The RBC close by gives me all they have. When I went in today they told me I just missed a whole bunch. So I'm going to go more often or maybe they will even set them aside for me...not sure if that would be pushing it too far.

Ive been trying to get CWR of quarters to find some older dates and cant seem to get them around where I am. Not even looking for the silver either. I'm talking like 1988-2000 I'm looking for my album. Best I've been able to do is 2001 and newer. This sucks It hurts to think I may have to buy the darn quarters to fill. I get buying the silvers but I really don't want to have to buy newer coins. Basically need everything from the above mentioned time frame.

Heh, I actually just dug a 1988 quarter today.
Anyway, I get about 1.2 nickel quarters per roll. But since the metal value is so low and the face value is prohibitively high, I just toss them back...
Actually, at the bus station I go to every day, there are a few vending machines that I like to look through. I assume they're stocked with different rolls, because it's uncanny - one machine is stuffed with brand-new 2013 quarters, while the other one dispenses nickel quarters almost every single time...

Today I got a box of nickels. It had a bunch of different kinds of rolls, which is always nice. Here are a couple lowballs - possibly the most worn base-metal Canadian coins I've seen (excepting pennies). This is because these cupronickels had to go up against rock-solid nickel and steel coins every day of their miserable lives, and they lost every time. They're starting to get what I always called the "1£ look". I found just 5 Laureate Elizabeth nickels: 2 1960s, 2 1963s, and a 1964. (Not a single rabbit in the whole box!) The 1964 has apparently faced a tough existence against numerous coin-rolling machines of old, and now sports a lovely star pattern. As for rare dates: I finally found a 1991. Actually, I found three. And a very nice 2000-P! Hooray! I don't know how much these are worth, but with a mintage of under 5,000,000, I'm pretty happy to find a shiny one. I also found 21 American nickels (including a 2005-D Buffalo commemorative, I really like the Westward Journey series), 48 2013 nickels (I'm trying to save new ones - there were also 2 that had already circulated to XF or worse, so I didn't keep them), and this pile of nickel.

Nice finds nalaberong. I went through 30 rolls of nickels and 4 rolls of quarters today. Didn't find too much in the nickels because 20/30 rolls were already picked through and wrapped coincanada.ca. Have been liking quarters lately for all the variety. I'm up to 20 of the U.S State Quarters and just missing the coloured orca and frosted Tecumseh for the Legendary Nature and what has been issued to date for the War of 1812 series. Also keeping all the men's hockey, women's hockey and Cindy Klassan coloured quarters as the mintages are quite low. Went to RBC to get pennies but all they had was a half full bag. They took my phone number and stuck it on the bag so that when it is full they will give me a call so I can go pickup the pennies :D.

Well I wasn't able to get a box of nickels, but managed to get one bundle and a bundle of dimes. The dimes we're a bust but I did get a very good condition 1963 nickel wish I had a good enough camera to share with I am just a rookie but would think it has to be at least MS-60 My bias opinion would like to think MS-65. Also found a 1953 SF near to go with my 53 NSF far. p.s also went for an extra bundle of nickels at a credit union from peeking at the ends they were all nickel nickels so here's hoping.

I have all the commemorative quarters except a couple 1999s - I started hunting after Tecumseh and Brock, so it was hard to find great examples of them, but when de Salaberry came out I just kept the first couple I found and took the better one before it could circulate. As for State Quarters - in Alberta, I'm cursed by the D-mints. About 70% of my American finds are from Denver!! Gaaah! I think I have more than half the states so far, but I've been keeping them since I was a kid. My best American find is this beautiful 2013 White Mountain-D quarter, but it was pulled from a bowl of change at a fundraiser, not hunted (don't worry, I replaced it, and knew the organizers personally):

Bank called today. They have 6 bags of pennies waiting for me. Can't wait to pick them up tomorrow. (1 bag = 1 box give or take) I'll keep you guys posted on what I find.

Picked up 7 bags and 37 rolls today (close to 20k pennies). Went through 1 bag and 27 rolls today. Didn't find anything too great, some George VI's, 4 wheat cents. Found one penny with interesting toning - blue on one side and kind of a dark pink on the other. Adding substantially to the copper stash.

Hey o-train, how are you able to get pennies from the bank? I thought that they were not allowed to give them out?

Most banks (almost all) will not give out pennies. I'm not sure why this particular bank doesn't mind giving them out. It's not just one person though. On my last pickup I was chatting with two of the tellers and the bank manager about coin collecting. Telling them about different key dates and varieties to look for in their change. What makes it even better is there seems to be some kind of charity going on where people bring in bags of pennies as charitable donations (hence why I was able to get so many).

Yeah, I looked in a penny bin today and - an unblemished Lincoln Bicentennial cent with the Capitol under construction! In a locked donation jar! I need to stop looking into these inaccessible bins - I also saw tons of exciting foreign coins...
