I have better luck in finding silver from rolls that weren't boxed. Don't know why that is.

I received this in my change at timmies, considering I never saved any of them when they first came out I was glad to find one in such nice shape. On two other visits I found a 25 cent Cayman Islands coin and a Cindy Klassen colorized.

Way more silver dimes out there, my average right now is 1 silver dime per %150 searched, where for quarters its about 1/$1500 searched. (but I can go 4 or 5 boxes and get skunked as well)

I got my first one of those things as well, a couple months ago I was at my friends house and I was looking in the coin hole of a piggy bank you cant empty unless you break and I tried to dump the coins out through the small coin hole in the top that you put them in through. A 1985 penny came out of it and lit up my day. It now resides in my collection and is safe from the dangers of my friends house.

Slurexe that 85 has been through a battle. They are hard to find in good condition, the ones I have found are all brown, no red ones.

Almost got a 1920 nickle from the teller but someone else at the bank took it frist, he is going to start to hold on older coins for me which is nice of him.

Cool stuff folks! I do enjoy the coins from the north! Seeing the 1985 variety has me wondering what I might have. I really need to start organizing my finds. I am 2/3 through a box of nickels and hit a number of Canadian (I think 15 to this point) including a 16? Sided specimen. Time to get serious with filling albums and cataloging finds.

Picked up 54 rolls of pennies at the banks yesterday. Older Canadian finds included: 1943(2), 1950(2), 1951, 1952, and 1953(3). There was a 1946 as well but it was too far gone (corrosion) to keep. Also found 1 Wheat cent and a 1988 German 2 Pfennig. Almost forgot to mention, one of my regular tellers also had a 1973 One Dollar Bill and a 1974 Two Dollar Bill for me.

Box of nickels: 81 pre-81 a nice looking 64 (in my opinion). 1 1961 and a 1960. Found 1 colon from Costa Rica. Then 20 rolls of pennies: 67% copper, 1 1952 and a 1946
