I just received an auction catalog through the mail yesterday. On the cover is beautifully shot beaten up ancient of Proculus. The auction is on April 10th 2013 and the catalog lists an expected value of 50 - 70,000 pounds!

Here is some info I have dug up on the web.

Quote:
Proculus was an ambitious soldier, who had commanded more than one legion as tribune; when in 280 he was asked by the people of Lugdunum (Lyon) who had started a rebellion against Emperor Probus to take the purple, he accepted, proclaiming himself joint emperor with Bonosus.

I hope you got a bunch of these Ben!
That way I can trade with you for a more famous emperor like Constantine I.

If you have even one that would be beyond COOL!

Twenty years ago I went to the NY International and found a 'dealer' who had rented a table and in his single glass case he had one coin. An exceptional Brittanicus sestertius for which he wanted a mere $15,000. Now shortly before this time I had obtained a Home Equity line of credit for the convenient amount of $15,000. To say I never thought about it would be lying. But I went home with a 'knockout' Caligula As instead (for a lot less money too). Believe it or not if I had left the caligula and done something stupid instead ..... I would be a happy man today ! But Brittanicus was an VF/EF museum quality coin. This one may belong in a museum. Just not mine.

In the list of rarities Proculus coins are listed as common, at 70,000 pound it doesn't seem common to me.

I really don't know, honestly. Looking at the coin, it looks old for sure. Engraving style looks a bit different than what other coins of this era have, slightly.

Here is a blog and some more information about the coin.
