It is indeed a 1964 JFK half dollar! He needs a bath though...been playing in the dirt.

Did you find that in circulation? It's getting tougher to find collectables or silver in pocket change.

No, it came from a coin collection I inherited.

It's a nice coin to have for a base starter collection of Kennedy halves. If you don't want to collect them you'll probably be happier junking it at silver spot price ( about $10). It's 90% silver and not in collect able condition for most collectors.

Silver is always nice. Keep it if your going to keep your inherited coin collection going.
