I've had that hole for about 27 years and counting. I just can't bring my self to spend $500 on a dime. I spent over $200 on a Peace dollar to finish that set but just can't do the dime.

Outstanding... congratulations. Mercury dimes are my favorite set. I'm about 6 (expensive and tough to find) coins away from a complete set. I'm going to finish upgrading some of the weaker grades before biting the bullet on some quality expensive dates. The 1916D will probably be the capstone set coin...

That IS a nice 16d, I like the fact that the inside of the 'd' is visable as well as the rims
being pretty much intact. If it was mine it would breathe better because I would crack her out,
but your probably smart to leave it slabbed. Congrats
