What level of MC membership do you need to get them to respond to an inquiry email?
I asked for the status of my Butterfly and fifty cent roll orders and in what order do they ship. I also asked why people who order within the first few minutes of MC release sometimes wait months longer to receive their purchases than people with more recent orders.
Seems like simple questions but 5 days and no response.

Ha, Interesting.. funny how you mention those who order within the MC first few min seem to be last on the list..Hate to say I feel that way - March order, ZERO items shipped, April Order - Zero Items shipped...Yes I know the April coins just came out..

my april items haven't shipped yet either and I ordered them the minute they were available to MC members.
im happy about the lack of may releases though I do have a Oh Canada and a Go7 sub so i'll still be hit.
after the subs are done, i'll be narrowing my collection. I might stick to 1/4oz gold as it's expensive but not too expensive, and it's not a terribly small size.

I rodered a 9 a.m. that day and of course I will more likely will have to wait until August or September. For some reason for me coins take forever to arrive when delayed.

I'm sure that was rhetorical but I've asked questions via the website (contact us) and via my rep. Both gave responses that were useless. Either 'we don't know' or in 2-3 weeks and then the item is still not shipped 2 months later. Waiting for February orders, March orders and of course the Nov gold coin order. Hundreds of dollars of Mint preauthorizations on my CC disappeared today so I assume that means nothing is shipping anytime soon. May's release is going to have to contain something really special for me to bother ordering anything.

The MC status sounds like a great deal....however at the same time I'm looking at my canopy and glass butterfly right now

Not on my CC and not updated on the mint tracking but a mailman just brought one of the canopy coins. Oddly, it's the second one that I ordered a week after the first order. Their shipping remains a mystery. edit to add: Not to belabour the point but I just received the shipping notification e-mail for the canopy....almost an hour after the item arrived. Can't do anything but SMH and laugh at the RCM at this point.

I've asked questions on the mints web site several times. I feel like an idiot. I keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. They never answer me. I'm a master chump member and I ordered my coins early in April, of course I haven't received anything yet. I'm still going to buy everything that amuses me in may.... I just hope it still amuses me in September when it shows up.

To me this sounds like a plan... get the orders for April in, do not deliver and do not charge any CC.... get the orders for May in, do not deliver and do not charge any CC..... get the orders for June in, start to deliver and charge anything and have a excellent summer (the Mint I mean)! I will stay at home and have no money for holidays since my CC-Company wants it all....

Well, if I analyse this, it seems the RCM uses a procedure to send the coins... But, what was the precedure, nobody know... Just think about it, maybe the system they use is categorize by the coins available and after this they used send coins with a first-in-first-out order creation, or by alphabetical name, or by customer number...etc... But, as far as I know, there's no system who exist who send order randomly...

I think I'm all caught up to even the April release coins - except possibly for 1 coin (5oz queen). My surname starts with A, so Mlalonde1977... you're probably right. shipping by alpa-order. I've always been selected to be the 'front of the line' :)

Received a response from the RCM. Useless as it didn't answer my questions. It did, however, say that I should be impressed with the quality of the ship containing the craftsman when I do receive it. Now I understand the delay...the coin will be coming on a ship from Italy along with the glass butterfly artisan....impressive!! Questions:1. Why do orders not get shipped in the order they are received? 2. What is your policy to determine which orders are shipped? 3. When can I expect to receive my order that I placed within minutes of them being available to MC members on the website? Answer:" Thank you for contacting the Royal Canadian Mint. With regards to your inquiry, please note that the Glass Butterfly is currently in backorder, in part due to the exceptional demand for this product and as well due to our quality benchmarks. The Mint would not want to send a product which is not to it's high quality standard to our customers. The quality of the craftsman ship will certainly be noticeable once you receive the coin which we will have shipped has soon has possible."
