But the ost office catalogue is not for a select few, it is open to public knowledge and have nothing to do with Masters Club.

They are suppose to be for Post office employee (the one that usually place the order) eye only and not for public. I believe it said so on the catalogue (I could be wrong). I know the forum rule did not specifically stated Canada Post catalogue picture are not allow here but if they don't allow MC posting MC release pictures, Chances are, they would not allow CP catalogue pictures either.

Best way to know, post it and see if you get ban.

Silverdollarnuts the rule is in place to honour the Canadian Mint's Masters Club. One of the few 'perks' is that they get advance notice/viewing of the new collections. Posting pictures on here defeats that perk. Don't think it's fair? Join the club. (double meaning!)

Sometimes...

Since the sticky is a CCF forum rule, maybe a moderator can clarify this for us. Can Canada Post (publicly accessible by anyone at a post office) catalogue pics be posted here?

So just when it looked like I would escape this release, news hits of these two items:

5 oz $50 HMS Shannon & USS Chesapeake (mintage 1500)
This could be good if it's gilded or coloured. Ships make good coins IMO

and;

$100 Bison Stampede 1 oz with mintage 50,000
This is reported to be a $100 for $100 face value. Interesting. And reasonable mintage.

@CC-Ottawa:

Those coins suppose to be as part of the new (May) release?
If yes, interesting that people who looked into the PO catalog didn't report these 2 coins.

i dont see anything saying you cant post pictures before a public release? I dont get it.

In the Canada Post coin catalogs it states something along the lines of "No copying images, etc... Serious offence, etc..."

If anyone wants to see them early, head down to a Postal Outlet.

Looks like the same idea as for $20 for $20.
If it Fine Silver, so no Taxes (in Ontario).

"$100 for $100" coin = no rest for the CC
looks like interesting item

It would be tax exempt because it's a FV exchange (though I believe it is .9999).

Four times as much silver as the 20/20 but 5 times the value and 1/5th of the mintage. So RCM collects the same revenue but offers less silver...still interesting.

20/20 $5M total revenue on 62,500oz of Ag

100/100 $5M total revenue on 50,000oz of Ag.

I saw the rendering of the 100 for 100 bison coin. If I remember correctly from the print-out, it has a large bison in the foreground, and some stampeding bison in the background. I wonder if the 100 for 100 series will be consistent and only do animals? Or, will it be all over the map like the 20 for 20?

The eagle coins produced look very much like the American style eagle coins.

I think the Chinese style looking coin is fantastic looking. I think most of the mintage has been reserved for CP

Thank you, CanadianCoins!

Although RCM over-prodeced with the NCLT previous and this years, it nice to have a choice.
Need just to use it properly.

Eagle is nice, but not sure that it will be my choice.

but 100 for 100 coin - this is something new.
