Some of you have seen this coin before however I repost the pictures for those of you that havent.

The CCN columnist is asking...How did this coin come to be?

coin (pictured)fed into striking chamber on top of a previously struck nickel, struck once but not ejected, slight movement, between the two coins in the striking chamber, then struck a second time. If tripled, then a third time etc That is the only way this coin could be struck with out human assistance. A spectacular coin. I still want it.

Didn't you sell that coin more than a year ago, to a big coin dealer from Cape Breton?

Sorry about the magical act on the photos!

SPP- there was a misunderstanding with the dealer so the coin was sold to a gentlemen in Inverness Nova Scotia.
I repurchased the coin at a later date while at a family function in Truro Nova Scotia.

Inverness.... now that place brings back some memories...

I grew up just up the coast from there, in Margaree Valley - we used to go to Inverness, as teenagers, to try and sneak into the Hoff underage...

If one could discover the crushed coin to make a matched set, it could be a new record error in the Coin World.
Rumors of "an inside job " would blossom !
