drillman Valued Member United States 75 Posts	Posted 04/23/2013 4:59 pm hey all, I just had a question on the 1988 Canadian 1.00 coin the images are both in the same position on the back and the front . I was wondering if that was correct for this coin or if its a mint error.any information would be greatly appreciated ,i can post you some images later if you need them thank you for your time... Smallcentguy Pillar of the Community Canada 1984 Posts	Posted 04/23/2013 5:24 pm This is correct. Recent Canadian issues are struck "medal axis" unlike US coins. Some older coins are intentionally rotated 180 degrees. Report this Post to the Staff
Nathancrh1 Pillar of the Community Canada 785 Posts	Posted 04/23/2013 5:38 pm If you look at any Canadian coin they should all be turned 180 degrees (at least in the 20th and 21st ) if not then it is ether a mint error or a fake. Although there are a few exceptions. Report this Post to the Staff
