Thanks for the clarification everyone! You learn something new every day! NuMoosematist, I though it was a Canadian Buffalo too.

Also, I didn't realize it was the 100th anniversary of the Buffalo/Bison Nickel so the timing of the $100 coin is spot on!

Hmmm anyone notice that there is not 9999 fine silver engraved on the coin? Interesting, I wonder if that will take away from its potential higher value. Then again you get a more complete portrait of the bison's /background etc. Heck it might even increase its value even more lol because its "not" there. I wonder why they didn't add it on the coin...

Then again other mint coins don't have it on them either but the $20 for $20 wolf does have it, haven't looked at the other $20 for $20 to see if they have it on them.

Received the coins today in the mail. I have to say, this is the quickest yet. I think for once, the mint actually have the coin ready to ship before putting it up on their site

If you remember, most of $20 for $20 coins, like this 100 for 100 weren't part of some official release, and they shipped quickly.
So I agree - they were prepared to be shipped.

....on the other hand - the 1812 quarters - the first set (also was launched between releases) - I waited "ages" for it...

cheney, be careful. You don't want to be caught in a buffalo stampede.

Just got off the phone with RCM. Got my tracking number for the bison coin. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround for this coin (I ordered online exactly one week ago). Also, the rep told me that my Skimmer (dragonfly) should ship out by the end of May (not in July like the website says:( I hope it's true, because that would obviously be a lot sooner. My only complaint is that they still haven't integrated tracking information with their shipping confirmation emails/web accounts (at least if you're ordering from the US). It would save us customers and them a lot of time if they would change this.

Someone on the RFD forum said the Vancouver Mint Boutique received 600 coins at noon and by 4:00 pm, sold 300 of them. They expect to sell out this evening or tomorrow morning. Get them while you can.
