true, noahs... he he... anyone know how much silver content the $100 for $100 will have?

I think the $20 for $20 has a quarter ounce of silver, so the $100 for $100 should have 1 1/4 oz. But that's an odd amount, so guessing it'll be about one ounce?

I don't mind paying $89 for a one ounce polar bear with cubs because of the detailed artwork, but the $20 for $20 coins have plain, even blah designs, with a few exceptions, like the canoe & wolf...

Will people be willing to pay $100 an ounce for a series that has the reputation of the most affordable coin available?

Certanly will.
$100 face value - also the factor.
We already pay $99 per 1oz for some coins.

My guess is it will be based on the 1.5 oz polar bear specs.

Reverse proof. 1.5 oz for $100. 50K mintage.

It wouldn't surprise me if the polar bear is the actual design. They reused an NCLT design for the 3/4 (insert complaints here). So, a turnabout would be expected (turn a custom release bullion design into an NCLT). And it keeps with the recent polar bear theme.

A bonus, if so, would be the capsules they have created could become available in the market for the 1.5 oz bullion.

the $100 face value is just there to give a (false) sense of security. since the removal of the gold standard "face value" is just an agreement of what a coin is 'worth', and with collectable coins the banks are not going to agree with a collector on value.
banks could very well agree to exchange your coin, send it to the mint, wait 6 monthes for the mint to verify the coin, then hit you with a $20 fee.

OK, so they are finally totally nuts.

50,000 @ $100 for 1 oz is crazy.

Not even close to interested.

It should be 2 ounces. That, or proof finish. IMHO the mint has had exactly ONE set of "commemorative" coins worth their premium: The Wildlife Silver Maple set, though it's a crime that the public still can't order bullion from our publicly funded mint.

Well .... well.... if you get a $100 face value, the amount of silver is secondary. It will be a fast sold out.

The face value is symbolic, and not actually redeemable, like other NCLT. That being said, I am getting at least ten, because I know they will sell for $150+ within a year.

The Bee & Hive is 1/4 oz with a face value of $3 = 69.95
Blue Flag Iris is 1 oz with a face value of $20 = 119.95
The canopy is 1oz with face value of $20 = $99.95

The Blue Flag Iris ($119.95): 10000 mintage
The Canopy ($99.95): 7500 mintage
The 25th SML ($109.95): 10000 mintage
Oh Canada 1 oz. series ($89.95): 8500 mintage per coin (plus a nice box if you subscribed)

The $100 for $100: 50000 mintage

The Bee & Hive - 1/4 oz for $69.95 - 10,000 mintage
$20 for $20 - 1/4 for $20 - 250,000 mintage

See the normal trends?

Maybe. But, it is baffling why people think this is interesting. The Greater Fool.

Much more than interesting:

$100 RCM silver coin - I do not remember (could be wrong) such coin

Bison stampede - do we have other silver coin with Bison? I know only the Platinum set.

$100 for $100 as series - nice items.

Single disadvantage - mintage of 50.000
What is the difference between "theoretically hot" 1oz Silver Eagle and 1oz Bison? Only the mintage.

Does someone care of the mintage of highly desirable 1 million last pennies that just nicelly packed?

This coin will sellout and probably won't be the last in the series. People will regret not getting it and will grumble when they pay $130+ in the aftermarket.... and expect the next one to have a higher mintage
