This coin is commissioned by a big American dealer, rumored to be AMPEX.

This dealer is getting the lion's share of the 7,500 mintage. Canadian dealers will be getting a small share.

With respect to the link for the Eagle. Is this company WSD coins well known? OK? I am not looking for a garantee but wondering if people have had possitive experiences dealing with them. I am a little new to coins and haven't heard of them before3.
Thanks

That is a rumour but is wrong it is a RCM coin and a series if not let someone post a fact about it not just I heard somewhere from a friend of a friend.
You can bet if someone commissioned this coin they would speak up and advertise the fact!

A series commissioned by a dealer? That's a first isn't it?

I was told this by a major Canadian dealer.

Again, this is a RCM coin but is commissioned by a Major American dealer, rumored to be APMEX.

It is not the beginning of a new series unless the American dealer continues to commission other coins, like Buffalo so on and so forth.

@Silveroid: That is my website actually :P. It's still a Beta site and I will definitely continue to work on it till perfection over the next few months

@Dave: It is my site, I've recently become an RCM Dealer and there's tonnes of people over at RFD and a lot here that I'm sure can attest for me :)

@ elkslayer132

This is not the first time that the RCMint has done coins for dealer.

I can recall the Cartier coin done for a dealer a couple of years ago.

It will be a series if the American dealer commissions (or may have already done so) other coins like Buffalo, Bison etc.

The major dealer I quoted is one of top three RCMint dealer in Canada

The mint is advertising it as a first in a new series.
From the description: "With a very low mintage of only 7,500 coins, each coin in this new series will be sought after by collectors."
Kind of hard for them to go back and not continue if it's advertised as the first in a new series.

BTW, wasn't the recent 1 oz. (not the O Canada series) and 5oz. Beaver coin commissioned by Canadian Coin and Currency? I remember reading that somewhere.
Also the 5oz. Queen from last month's release was rumoured to be by them too.

Yeah the 5oz colored queen was commissioned by Canadian Coin and Currency. Theres a picture I saw somewhere of a huge stack of them......

can a company commission a coin and advertise it as a series? Would they have to commission every coin in the series after that?

Also I can say that DWS website is legit.....dealt with him on RFD, there
